Cincy MC just delivered a CSX 265 to Mike and his tribe. Its running on the river out of Rivertown Marine. Nothing out there like it, big, bad and yellow.

Hey Dusty! Glad things are up and running at Cincinnati MC! I'll have to stop out and see your new place. Where did you end up opening the shop?

Dang, While i new it was a 26 footer, it looks HUGE. How's the wake? Is it like the 28 and useless for water sports or actually something you can ride behind?

Where are they going to mount the outriggers? Does anyone know if on these twin engine MC's if you can run on just one engine? Well, with as many dealers as we have here of course someone knows. Any experts wanna share?

i've read that the csx has the #2 wake for wakeboarding in the MC lineup... which honestly kind fo hurt my feeling b/c i also read that the x2 had the best wake for the money

You can run on one motor in any multi engine set-up. That is the safety factor of having multi engines... you can always get to back to the dock. Now, to answer your question, for cruising at idle, you can run on one motor. Running one motor at high rpm, to try to get the boat on plain is not a wise choice and I am not sure if the boat would plane out or even be manageable. On my family's sportfisher, with both motors in gear the boat would idle at about 7 mph, so on the way in and out of the marina, I would always have one motor out of gear with a rudder to compensate and with the one motor, it would push it around 4 mph. On our outboard center console, while cruising through the crowds, I would always shut one engine off, as the boat would handle virtually the same as if both motors were on.

I was watching some fishing show on Saturday and the dudes had what looked to be about a 34' center console w/ 4 (yes 4) 350hp outboards on it!! That would be very cool to drive!

I think the owner of that foot needs to see a Podiatrist and stop wearing shoes that are too small.

The 265 is a BIG boat. I like the fact that it has a head on board.

Pretty crazy! And I thought our old center console was a gas guzzler with twin 250's!

I got to ride on a 39' Midnight Express a few weeks ago that a local brokerage picked up. The thing had triple 300hp Verados and I could not beleive the get-up it had.. I can't imagine 4-350's!!!

Uh yeah, if that thing was running full throttle I'd bet if you were pouring 5 gallon gas cans into the fuel tank you wouldn't keep up with the fuel consumption of all 4 motors cranking out 1400hp.

According to a boat test I just read, they tested a 39' Interpid with 4-350's and at Wide Open Throttle it burnt 150 gallons per hour at 60 mph hour. Back it down to 37.1 mph and you only burn 60 gallons per hour...

I think that's the smaller csx220.
