View Full Version : Fintek gets new motor!

Out with the old...in with the new! Had a little salt problem with the previous owners motor. new long block 5.7 350 Vortec 330hp. If this don't get your hormones goin I don't know what will!

All other parts are sand blasted/painted. New exhaust manifolds, coil, distributor parts are in. Waiting for new intake and alternator, Valve covers and it's good to go! More pics to follow. New power plant!...I'm so stoked!

Sheesh! The guy gets a little rust in his risers and runs out and buys a new motor. ;)

Exhaust in a box!!!! half filled with debris, bolts where froze in the casting had to take ball peen to it!

Which lead to this (cracked block!) No water could drain out of all that debri build up. So a coffee can full of rust will never drain or dry out!!! Add freezing temps and something has got to give.:(

Intake arrives today!:) I can get started on this thing! got a good start tonight..Should be able to finish up tomorrow. Man I can't wait to get this back in the boat. Yee haaaaa
