I replaced my alternator belt as preventative maintenance. Running it on Saturday I was getting a bit of a burnt rubber smell right after pulling up a skier. At idle all was good. No squeeking or squeeling. Tension seems about right but obviously it is not correct. So the question is is it too loose or too tight? Seems like it may be a bit loose and slipping on the hard acceleration.
