I have seen pics of small rope hooks on peoples towers to hang coiled waterski/wakeboard ropes on. Where do you get these from? Are they integrated into your existing board racks, or is this something that can be added to the tower or racks? If you have these, do you like them? If you have close-up pics, please post.

Does anyone really use these things? Perhaps I'm just paranoid but improperly used or stored ropes can be a source of some of the most lethal injuries on a ski boat and I feel much better knowing mine are stored safely in a locker. The only time they're out is either in use or stored on the pylon neatly coiled and attached with a velcro rope keeper. The thought of them blowing in the wind up on the tower just makes me nervous. Like I said, perhaps I'm just paranoid.

This is the one I have, IMO it's much easier and works just as well to use the black velcro ones that come with the ropes. No drilling through the tower required!! I can get a pic if you guys want.....

The rope leash that came with my ropes is what I use to secure to the tower. Has velcro for the rope and velcro for the tower. I bet Straight Line could hook you up. www.slsports.com

I don't use one while I'm out on the boat. I just coil it up on the floor in the back, or behind the drivers seat.

I have a rope holder on the pylon that I use when we're not skiing.

Here is the one I put on the tower of my X7. Loved it & found it very useful.
Bought it from the dealer.

I have the same one as workin'. Not the best picture, but the blue wakeboard rope is hanging from it, the red surf rope uses the strap it came with, as does the waterski rope strapped to the pylon......

This is what I had in mind, where did you purchase it from and how does it mount to the tower?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess he got it at his dealer 8p At least that's what he said in your quote of him! :D

There are a few dealers on here that would probably get one to you for a good deal! The billet rope holder comes with 2 stainless bolts and washers. For each bolt you have to drill through the tower twice. I had a little trouble keeping the drill bit straight. Notice in Workin's picture the cross member he mounted the holder to is flat. Does your tower have flat members you can mount it to or are they round?

Sorry, I guess I should have said: "Which dealer?"
Yes, I do have flat members to attach it to on my tower.

Surprised Erk hasn't come to your rescue, yet. PM him and ask him how much they are. If not, try my dealer, Portland Ski Boat Center, 503-892-9965, ask for Pat or Nick!
