So I've ordered new decals for my prostar. Now I need ideas on how to remove or cover the stripe down the side. I'm going for that naked all white look. Any recommendations?

That stripe is part of the gel coat. To cover it, you would need to order the exact color match of the white part of your boat and hav a fiberglass repair person cover it for you. Another idea would be to tape off and paint the stripe with white paint that matches the boat. This option allows you to wet sand off the paint at a later date if you want to re-sell the boat down the road. Just my 2 cents

T Scott - any idea on what type of paint and how durable it may be?

Regarding the stripe, you're just begging for heartache.......

bx - I was afraid of that. Maybe a solid white wrap on the upper half of the hull??

uh...just cover the stripe with a vinyl stripe of another color.

I finally had the facelift finished. Local sign shop overlayed the gelcoat stripe with black vinyl and installed the new decals done by Farmer Ted. I'm very pleased.
