Has anyone put a high output (140 amp +) alternator in ther MC?
I wanted to upgrade my stereo this spring but I think i may be running out of power.

I have an 2006 x-star with the JL 6 channel (driving boat and tower speakers)and JL 2 channel (bridged driving factory 10" JL sub in an enclosure).additionally i have a 200w Alpine amp driving two 12" kicker subs.

I wanted to run a set of the HCLD type (wetsounds or bullet hollow points) tower speakers... they recomend 150 to 200 watts rms to make these speakers sound good.

I would like to have about 4 to 5 continious hours of use out of this system... is it possible with the factory two battery set-up and 90amp alternator?

do a search on wakeworld.com. This subject has been discussed in detail and there are plenty of examples
