That is a very interesting color scheme. I don't think I would like that red up top as it would be very hot!! I would know, I have a tan/brown, and if your bare skin touches that brown you know it in a hurry.

It actually doesn't get too hot. Our summers hover around 105 to 110, and it's not a big deal. We always use the bimini, though.

I will be putting together a thread or maybe a powerpoint of acrobat file wit them at some point.

Question about the 1999 sportstar. Was it available with 2 different schemes?

(Can somebody remind me how to get 2 photos to show up in the same post?)

I had, but lost the photos of the 72 being restored also. Yes, I got the 72 brochure and plan to use it as well.

As far as your picture goes, go you have one that dosn't have all the glare? That thing is so shiney it hurts my eyes!

You know everything is not an anecdote. You have to discriminate. You choose things that are funny or mildly amusing or interesting. You're a miracle! Your stories have NONE of that. They're not even amusing ACCIDENTALLY! "Honey, I'd like you to meet Sodar, he's got some amusing anecodotes for you. Oh and here's a gun so you can blow your brains out. You'll thank me for it." I could tolerate any insurance seminar. For days I could sit there and listen to them go on and on with a big smile on my face. They'd say, "How can you stand it?" I'd say, "'Cause I've been with Sodar. I can take ANYTHING." You know what they'd say? They'd say, "I know what you mean. The shower curtain ring guy. Woah." It's like going on a date with a Chatty Cathy doll. I expect you have a little string on your chest, you know, that I pull out and have to snap back. Except I wouldn't pull it out and snap it back - you would. Agh! Agh! Agh! Agh! And by the way, you know, when you're telling these little stories? Here's a good idea - have a POINT. It makes it SO much more interesting for the listener! ......have a good week Grasshopper:D

I have changed my mind frm having one of each year to showing a few from each year of different colors, etc.

I still need some of the very early years like 69, 70 and 71. Something tells me I may not find any of those.

Those are the same font as the ones on TT member KAS's '72 and his were original when he got it, yet one of his '72 brochures shows a different font.

I am still looking for photos of any year.
Prostars, 19 Skiers or any other slalom tournament boat.

I think the only years I do not have any of are 69, 70 and 71.
I am guessing I will not find any of those years and will provide a reward if anybody finds any.

I don't know how you did it, but Thanks COZ, for making them all show up.
Quick story...We bought this boat Fathers Day 2 years ago. The first weekend we took it out to our favorite cove a guy pulled up on a jet ski and asked if that was my boat...YES, I said. He said I got one too, I'll be right back. 15 minutes later he pulls up in the EXACT same boat, we put them side by side and it looked like a mirror. What are the Odds??? His was a '78...and mine is prettier now!

Do you have any pictures of the motor?

How do you keep the brass looking brand new?... I have tried them all and can't get these results.

Thanks, I showed them to my kids, because they (10 & 13) worked very hard on it. Thanks

Sorry no motor pics. I will take some next weekend when I go get it out of Winter storage. It is original Ford 351, clean ! but no fancy chrome. Under 900 hrs.
The question about the prop and rudder, Brasso and a buffer.

Confession: these photo's were taken last May after my kids and I finished 2 solid weeks, of cleaning and restoring the stars & stripes. The metal flake had a terrible sun burn, it was rough as sand paper. We wet sanded, 6 times, buffed multiple times, replaced all the lettering and stars & stripes, glazed, hand waxed 3-4 times,...yes, I have tennis elbow now! Then took photo's.
I told my boys that when they could barefoot, then we would get a wakeboard boat....Santa brought this X-30. Now I have 2 mastercrafts. We are all happy.
COZ..I have no idea how I got those photo's up there????

I think the 30th anv. 190 is the best looking 190 so far and think it would look cool on an x-2 so you have my vote. :D

I was kinda thinking a similar thing with mine, I was thinking of going with these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270203499673 in the teal or black on my boat.

Chris,
They are 3.5" as I could not find 3". In the end since we put the MCX exhaust manifolds on it was better to convert to a full 3.5" exhaust anyways. Here is the company I got them from.

Covi --

Thanks. I think its white but to be honest I wouldn't be sure unless I saw a cream colored boat. Unfortunately, the upholstery is in really bad shape -- possible winter project. Overall, not in bad shape considering 600 of the 1200 hours are salt water from my Key West days.

Cheers,
Voodoo

Looks like the same boat on www.craigslist atlanta.com Look in the boat section and search Master Craft. You will see it for $2,900.

Is this a 1971? What engine does it have? Is it original?
Do you have any more photo's of this boat?
Specifically close-ups of the dash, console, seats etc?
I'm trying to find information / photos of a 1971. I own one, and would like to restore it.

Thanks,
Lach
