I have a 1994 205 with an LT1 engine.
I understand that it has 2 thermostats. Does anyone have this engine and changed the thermostats?

Also, I do not see any crankcase breather or PCV valve.
Does anyone know where they are located?

I have the exact same setup. Yup, 2 thermostats, one is a 143 and the other is a 160 deg crack temp. Forget off the top of my head which is which, but it should be stamped into at least one of them when you go to replace them. One us under the flame arrestor, the other is behind the cast traingle looking thing on the front of the engine.
Do a search at this & the old teamtalk site & you'll find more details. I think I posted a pic w/arrows pointing to them as well.

Not sure on your other ?'s.

Side note, not sure if you winterize or not (we do up in the north), but I've heard not to use antifreeze w/the aluminum heads. Other than that, use midgrade fuel & happy boating.

Thanks for the info.
I'm in Canada so I do winterize.
Luckily, I guess, I do not use antifreeze, just drain it really well. Done this for 5 years with no problem. I've got over 1000 hours and still going strong.
Have you had any trouble with your harmonic balancer? I had to replace a couple of years ago and it cost me a fortune.

I haven't looked at mine in months but as I recall there aren't any on the rocker covers or any tubes feeding the intake. I also seem to recall something about internal PCV on the LT1.

So far, so good on my harmonic balancer and I'm right at 500 hours. In fact, I haven't had any problems with my LT1. I love that thing.

I have the same engine. Vince at SkiDim said there isn't a PCV valve on the LT-1. Don't know if it's internal.

I love mine also, if mine is any indication it has lots of life left in it yet. In fact, I put a perfect pass in last summer and the fellow that help set it up for me couldn't believe the power it had. He was used to driving 2004 197's.

Have an LT1 in mine love it have had zero problems (I might regret typing that, lol) I wish MC could of gotten the rights to the LS1 instead of that other builder.
