I woulkd like another rim to match what I have. Anyone know a aftermarket place to get them? Or will it have to come from a dealer?

Google "Boat Trailer Wheels" and here is a start, check out the "Star", http://www.lowcosttrailersupplies.com/Merchant3/merchant.mvc?page=LCTS/CTGY/AMW

The star looks right, but I want it to be exact. I'd hate to order it and it be wrong. It just a spare but I would want to rotate it with my others to avoid dry rote.

Another option is to buy 3. But thats not the route I would go!

Yea...not real excited about that option. Would like to just get one and know it will match.

Call these people, and just ask them if thier "star" will match. They sell some stuff to MC, not sure about the wheels.

I'm pretty sure they will match, cause most of these trailer wheels are made by the same companies to specs and are just sold thru different distributors.

The info I have from MC was prior to 2000 the wheel supplier to MC was, Carlile Wheel and Tire, Rick Willey, 1-800-510-0560 and they were somewhere In TN close to the factory, like Sweetwater or Lenoir City.
IIRC, that last time we were at the factory there were stacks of replacement wheels of various styles, that MC has used in the past, with and with out tires mounted ready to be shipped out to dealers. They may still have some of those wheels. Don't forget the center cap either for that wheel and the regular closed end kind for a spare can be found locally at most any wheel shop.
Hope that helps, let us know what you come up with!

one thing to look for if the inside of the wheel where you see through the opening is silver or black. I have seen them in both styles. I found my wheels at Dave's Trailer in Baltimore. They are a Star with black on the inside.

Maybe the same as this wheel from Crager.

Just a thought, what if you bought a MC spare tire cover, that would probably wind up being a lot easier and cheaper. That will also afford you the ability to buy a cheap spare. Just my 2 cents.

TMC folks....this thread answered my long-standing problem. I want to have spares to mount/match my trailer. I have had several freeway speed blowouts...and hauling spares in my truck is not optimal...
