My 13 year old daughter wants a new Wake Board for her birthday and I have no clue. II am just dissappointed she want that instead of a new stick but that is another story.

She is 5'5" and 110 pounds and I would call her intermediate. She is is just starting to clear the wake but is folcused on getting better.

What should I buy her? I have no clue.

I just bought my g/f a Connelly Lotus last summer and she loves it. She is a bit taller than your daughter, but weighs about the same. I am sure it will be good for your... maybe even leave a little to grow into.

I'm not all that big on boarding, but I like the CWB's also. I'm sure you'll hear this over and over, but rent them, so she can see what works for her.

When my kids were starting out, they tried various boards of their friends, but the one that seemed to help them progress the most was a Hyperlite Motiv. It has been around for awhile and seems to be pretty stable and predictable.

Great info ... What size or does the lotus come in one size. Once again - stupid ski guy asking the question.

based on her height and weight i would go with the cwb sapphire 134. based off the cwb absolute.

stick that with the cwb ember binding with hinge tech she will be good to go.

that's the exact board Heather has... she loves it... hot former div I gymnast... tough as nails... loves to wakeboard... i hate myles... good girls board though... tracks well and very stable from what i've observed... get her some comfy boots unless she's going to be doing raleys and tantrums (in which case you'll probably want to get some performance geared boots) and she'll ride it like a christmas pony

I am 5'10" about 120lbs and I ride a Hyperlite Allure 134 and I love it! It was supper easy to learn and advance on! I am thinking of getting the 2007 Hyperlite Eden. I have read great reviews on it! She could probably use around a 130. If you haven't already, go to wakeworld.com and check out there board reviews! Good Luck!

I told my daughter to get over this entire "boarding" thing and to stick to skiing ... she told she loves me but no.

So I guess I will have to buy the board ... whats next and X boat? arrggggg I am losing control!!!

if i must suggest... the x2 doesn't have a terrible slalom wake... ok it's no '93 ps 205 like i learned to hit the course on but if you're looking for fun and an easy ballast and tower and great size/price... i'm really happy w/ my x2

Buy an X1. It is a PS 205 v ya know! Great wakeboard wake and my dad likes the slalom wake...then again he only goes 28.6 and just free skis! X1 is the way to go!

Im a similar size. Dont get anything bigger than about a 134. I think a 133 or 132 would be best.

I ride a CWB sol. I dont even know if they still make this board. Its a little wider than a lot of boards on the market. It makes for really good landings.

I ride Hyperlite Symbol binding and really like them. I have the standard ones because I have big feet! My board came with a set of Pixie Minis on it. If she could wear them, they are for sale. They've only been worn once and look brand new.

bigbadblue,

Why not try your local boardshop? Our will swap boards out if the purchase is not right. Plus you can try on bindings right in the store.

Where are you from?

I have CWB Factions....which will be updated to Ronix Ones.

To bad my feet size is 13 and your daughters is probably not anywhere close!

I like CWB and Liquid Force products, they are much lighter boards than hyperlite which makes for easier clearing wakes. The size of the board is whatever she prefers. I ride a 136, im 5 10 190, and enjoy the shorter board because its easier to manuever. I also prefer the hingetech bindings, CWB vapor or zeus has good ankle support, the old style CWB torx (what I have) work too. If your looking at getting a newer board I would suggest the Liquid Force Melissa. I have ridden it and it is stable but will allow her to improve. Its got good pop and tracks well. But thats my preference :)
