I'm looking at a 2001 195 and am wondering about the skiability of the boat (28 off + 34mph). Any feedback on the wake or boat in general would be appreciated.

It is the same hull as 95-97 Prostar 190, and it is a very good skiing boat. You will have no problems at 28 off 34 MPH in terms of spray or wake size. Here is a history of that hull: http://www.tmcowners.com/teamtalk/showpost.php?p=311025&postcount=52

I really like mine. Its the same hull as the 95-97 190s. Great ski boat in MY opinion. I don't get into that short of a line. but I've never had any complaints. Here is some good reading:

I think that hull is a jewel. It has a great slalom wake and the spray lays down nice for shortline. It also has a great wake shape for trick or even wakeboard with proper ballast.

I have a 2000 PS195 - love it! At the end of last season I increased to 22' off, the rooster tail bump at 22' is a little rough (but many boats are). I'm getting more use to the 22' off bump, I just need to cut, lean and pull better! I have tried 28' off, I'm more comfortable at 28' off than 22'. Overall I love the wake and spray!
