I would be worried less about mud and more about the Loche Ness Monster in the first one.

Whatever. Mine is more brown. Full of silt, stumps, snakes, and aligators. No need for anyone to come down and verify this either. Very dangerous.

I don't know why your lake looks like mud. Did you have alot of rain and flooding conditions this year? We have a few places around here that haven't returned back to their normal water color since our flooding in December. I do like the looks of your MC though. That must be a "99, correct? It looks a lot like mine, however, mine is a DD. What are the exact colors of yours? Any better pics of it? Nice boat house too!:)

We always go out on Lake Corpus Christi and we always heard rumors of alligators up there, but I never believed them. Until we saw a dead baby alligator washed up on the shoreline last weekend  Friends of mine that let me keep my boat there say they have never seen one in all of the years they have been there.

I didn't grow up going to this one, so I always took the stories with a grain of salt. But in 2005, the water level was very low. We came off the big lake to the bayou/river outlet and saw a huge splash as we came to idle. We turned around to see an aligator that must have been eight feet long swimming away.

Honestly, he didn't want anything to do with a 20' ski boat and his being there had more to do with the low water levels than anything, but it was disconcerting to say the least. I turned to my brother-in-law and said, "You're up, man!"

I'm still more concerned about snakes.

I thought that is how Granbury always looked, since it is the left over water we don't want from PK.

Our lake did that too, when they got lax on dumping the dye in. The clay bottom would get churned up and turn the water brown. I have no idea what size Granbury is, but this is what happened on our small private lake.

Looks like a submerged log, but I guess they can be thankful there're getting the rain to churn the mud up, huh?

That is why Granbury is so much warmer than PK. Saw a tee shirt at the boat show "turning beer into lake water".

Its amazing to me that ya'll grip about water color in your lakes. All we gots around is is brackish rivers and salt water rivers! Consider yourself LUCKY! As for the gators, we got em up to about 14' around these parts, but they don't bother anybody!

gators in water make you a better skier. cause you will work harder not to fall if you know what's best for you.

The river always runs dirty in Granbury. It's just the way it is in the spring and after a hard rain.
