For Sale: 1978 Mastercraft Stars and Stripes – Wakeboard Setup, Great condition. NJ

This boat package includes the following:
• 351 Pleasurecraft Marine (Ford) engine (about 250 hp)
• Dual Speedometers
• Stainless Steel Dash
• New stereo in waterproof housing with ipod aux connection
• Radio Remote for passenger control
• Skylon Pylon
• Pioneer interior speakers
• Pylon speakers
• 2 400 lb Fat Sacs
• Gunwale board racks
• Great Wake!!!

This boat is fully rigged as a turnkey wakeboard board. Oil changes with Mobil 1 have been done every 50 hours or once a season for the years that never reached 50 hours. The hour meter on the boat is much newer than the boat itself, I have no idea how many hours are on the boat, but since it’s a 1978, I would guess a lot. I purchased this boat about 6 years ago from Greenwood Lake NJ. The previous owner was an aircraft mechanic. I am selling this boat because I no longer have the time to enjoy it.

The carpet and cushions are fine for use, but could be replaced if you want that completely restored look. No rips in the carpet or cushions.

Stop wakeboarding behind that Bayliner or Sea Ray (or even worse that Yamatrash Jet Boat!!!).

Additional high resolution pictures are available upon request. This boat is still winterized, it will be fired up once the threat of freezing is gone (targeting 4/1).

Recent Trailer Work:
1. 2 New 20.5x8.0-10 Tires and wheels, Load Range E (1500 lbs each) boat weighs 2500lbs
2. New Bearings, races, fresh packed hubs, bearing buddies.
3. New Trailer wiring Kit
4. New Coupler (2" Ball)
5. New Winch/Strap
6. New Saftey Chains
7. Torsion suspension system inspected.

This Float-On Aluminum trailer is now ready to go the distance... Over $400 has been invested in the trailer for safety.

Thanks!! You definitely cannot haul the boat any long distances on this trailer. In fact, I would not even allow it. It you want the trailer, the whole thing would need to be taken away on a flatbed. I'd actually prefer to keep the trailer myself... Best to buy the boat and bring your trailer...

Pass on it. There are better conditioned MCs out there. It's not trashed out but the guy has the balls to ask an additional $300 for that sled of a tralier. Not.

Look in the trade media publications near Nashville, Atlanta, and Charlotte. You'll find an Old School for less than $6K and no additional charge for the trailer. :D

I have seen a few just this week in looking on line.

I want to keep the trailer. Besides, its not safe for long distance hauling, I don't want someone to get hurt. It is best for everyone to take the boat on your own trailer. I'm not being cheap, its a matter of safety. If you want the trailer, take it free with the boat, but you better have it on a flatbed...

Last note, the trailer is going to be scrapped if not taken. Please don't take away my need/dream of having to rent one of those giant gas powered circular saws from home depot!! :)

Salt water??????
Yes, it has been used in salt water. The headers and risers have been replaced. I also engineered a way to shut off the intake from the bottom and ride home purely on the fresh water from the fat sacs as a flush after every use. 800 lbs of fresh hose water was run through at the end of every day.

hclbi do you go out with Dave W on his boat or wakefest last year?

hclbi0262

No, I met Dave after wakefest. I've lived in Bordentown for 2 years and never realized the perfect water we have here until last August. Dave's a great guy with an awesome set up...

Would anyone be willing to sell a decent trailer separately? Do boat and trailer packages sell easier than boats alone? Any advice/help is welcome and appreciated!

Thanks!

Watch boattraderonline.com and ebay for boat trailers. To answer your question, yes, boat and trailer combos sell much easier than boats w/ no trailer.

Salt Water, Yuck!!!! Not good for that boat.

You may try posting on onlyinboards.com.

I know salt isn't good, but I've always flushed out throughly before storing. Also, after the day of skiing, the bottom water intake would be turned off and would run home using only the fresh hose water from the fat sacks.

Thanks,

-ejI would restate the price to your advantage. You have done well with this boat. Patience. It will sell.

www.boattrader.com gets a lot of exposure. That may have already been stated here. I didn't read back.

They are older Wake Designs speakers, they were made for this pylon.
