One of the kids in my neighborhood got a Ripstick for Christmas. I was over at his parents house on New years Eve and I took it out for a spin in their Cul De Sac. I used to skateboard as a kid, so I found it pretty similar and picked it up pretty quick. My wife bought me my own for my birthday back in January and I ride it almost every day. It is great low impact exercise that is a lot of fun.

Anybody else ever "Ripstik"?

If you have never seen a Ripstick before, check out the video.

I think every kid in my hood has one. At first I thought they were just another fad but I jumped on one and saw why the kids like them. Not the kind of skateboard I'm use too but fun.:D

My kids have them and love them. My 10 year old loves it and is pretty good - I on the other hand view this as a spectator sport!

i got one for christmas....its fantastic.....great workout as well...used to skateboard a lot as a kid,so picked it up quick...both my girls use it as well.....its pretty rare over here, but i am sure it will pick up.....i went about 3 miles the other day with only the initial push-off....get a lot of strange looks seeing a 39 and11/12th man going along the sea-front on one....
