Has anybody ever made their own perfect pass system ?

I have a 79 MC with a 351W, and I can't help thinking there must be a way of linking up a vacumm cruise control system to the carb or rev limiter to the ignition system.

Any ideas welcome

keeping the engine throttle locked in is one thing, but all the other bs that communicates with it is another. what are you going to use for a user display? or how will you select speeds? if you want to do it just as a hobby, go for it but if you really want to use it for sking, like Andre said, get the real thing.

Piece together a used PP system. If you look around you ought to be able to do it for around $600 which is half of retail.

One could hook up something similar to automotive speed control, but it will not very precise, and it will probably have quite a bit of fluctuation.

Go PP or go home... unless you can find an accuski, those are good too.

Did exactly that once upon a time - never did get satisfactory speed control from it though it worked ok for open water skiing.
