Go to Google Earth and insert Sumter, SC. there are some very interesting bodies of water in the area to the West, even what appears as some private lakes.

Actually, it is called DUMPTER! It is a little hick town propped up by the presence of the base. I have been there multiple times. A lot of folks live in Columbia and commute, or live between DUMPTER and Columbia and commute. Regarding water, check our Lake Wateree. In fact, I think it is a DoD MWR site. You are about 1hr to the Tail Race Canal/Lake Moultrie and probably 45 minutes to water in and around Columbia.

Thanks Bri
I was thinking we would prob live between Columbia and Sumter. The commute dose not bother me at all. Just hope we can find a good arrea to live in that is close to a good lake.

Hell you know why we broke away from the Army right?
They realized that the Air Force was far superior so then had no choice than to take the best part of the Army and make the best service out there the Air Force.
You know I love you man.
Besides you all love us when we provide close air support.

I live in Pawleys Island (south of myrtle beach), which is about an hour from there. Don't know too much about it, but the black river coming into georgetown is nice and smooth and is fresh basicaly west of georgetown. The only problem is the boat ramps. I hang out on the intercoastal near pawleys or murrells inlet and we can find some good water most of the timer. Let me know if you got any questions about this area.

Lake Wylie water level, 03/09/200897.4', .4' over target!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe some of that water will get to Sumter, SC before you move, so you'll have plenty water there!
How's that?
