Well I pulled the boat out tonight and cleaned all the gear out of it. I am trading the X2 in for an X-Star tommorow.:)

Just a little under a 48k for the X2. I am actually getting a 06 Xstar. It was a hell of a deal that was a demo. Already sacked out with the whole 9 yards. They used it in tournaments. Seemed like a great deal and I always wanted an xstar just didn't want to part with the huge bill of purchasing a new one.

Trading 06 X2's for X stars seems to be real popular these days, anything wrong with the X2 or is there that many people picking the wrong boat the first time? Seems to me that would be an expensive mistake.

Option 1
I think that it may be more that some buy the X2 which puts out a great wake when weighted, step up their level of boarding and want to go take it to the next level? They are going from great to the best!!

Option 2
If it allows Rusty to land 10's they will be able to?

Option 3
Everyone wants to be like Skeeler!! Upgrade the boat and get a smokin wife to boot?

Steve O really none of the options! I was getting close to negative equity on the X2 and got a really good deal on the Xstar and decided to jump on it and have more equity in it. And beside it is fun to have a new toy every couple of years!

Kev , What engine did you get, We are maybe looking at getting an x-star sometime this spring, I have test driven an 04 x-star with the 8.1, I see most x-stars out there for sale has the MCX, Have heard pros & cons on both engines

It has the MCX engine. And I had it in my X2. Is a great engine as far as I am concerned. The new xstar has the additional ballast and with a 14.25 x 14 prop it runs great. The friend I bought the boat from is replacing this xstar with a 08 and is getting the 400 hp. We where having a discussion about it. We were both concerned about its gas consumption.

Gotta love having a '94 that has been paid off for over 10 years. New ones are nice ... but payments are not too nice

I know new boats are expensive. But as my father says it isn't the cost that you should worry about. You should focus on all the great memories that are going to be made. That is what I tell my wife and it seems to work?
