View Full Version : Radio cover ideas for 89 PS190

Old origional radio cover door broke off, looking for ideas of how to keep water out of the head unit.
All the units around here (dealer, stereo shop, ect) are to big. The mounting area is very narrow if you leave the stereo in stock location. There is my problem!
Any ideas of where to get a radio cover that works? How do most of you keep in dash unit protected?
Again, thanks in advance for your help.

I had the same problem with my 92. I ordered a replacement part through Overtons. I don't know if they still have them or not, but it would be worth a try.

How about elimiating the entire splash guard completely? They do make 1- DIN head units that are waterproof.
We had this unit by Poly-Planar on our center console. It drove 4-6x9's off the head unit and sounded great.
Here is their website: http://www.polyplanar.com/ (http://www.polyplanar.com/ppdefault.aspx?prt=Marine%20Home)
I am almost certain that they make the unit in black also.
It looks like they have their dimensions reversed.
A= 8 1/4"
B= 2 3/4"
