I'd like to replace my NON removable platform brackets on my 86' with the brackets you see here on this 90' vintage. To me it looks like they are the same. Can anyone confirm? And if so how/where can I get them?

You can always check with Alloy Marine @ 1-800-892-1770, http://www.alloymarine.com/qrs.shtml

Any of the vertical lift removable brackets will cause the platform to kit the transom eyes unless you notch the wood for it to pass.

Thanks Harold, now that you say that I can see exactly what you are talking about! (notching). I've never noticed but the boat that is pictured must have notches cut out in order for the platform to raise up and off!

Some of the lare '70's and early '80's model boats that had a optional teak platform or added one later, had to knotch the platform, cause MC mounted the transom lifting eyes too low. It's a minor modification that won't effect the structural integrity of the platform.

I got a pair of brackets from Alloy Marine a few years ago for my 87 prostar and they worked well. I had the lift out ones and did have to notch the teak. now they show on there website a low clearance version.
