Can anybody out there tell me if this looks like original mid 80's standard knob? I seem to think I've seen them both round and as pictured?

www.skidim.com (http://www.skidim.com) has a nice mahogany and a couple Stainless Steel you may like, http://www.skidim.com/products.asp?dept=1122. Also check with any MC dealer for a original or late model Billet shifter/throttle knob that may be available from them.

That almost looks like a knob off of a mid 80's chevy or GMC truck with an auto trans. Mine is just a round black knob as well.

It does appear to be a shift knob off and older model truck/car. Thanks.

Doesn't look like a Hurst, I had one and they are dull aluminum with the word "HURST" on the top of it, finger grips underneath. Yours looks like it came off an old Ford Pinto.

Ya know, that could be the correct knob if you have a TH350 bolted on the back. Do you have to step on the brake to get it out of
(P)ark? Does it downshift if you go wide open? Just curious!

My throttle knob just fell apart so got a golf ball clamped into vise on the drill press and drilled a hole 3/4's the way through the ball, a couple of sizes smaller than the shaft on the throttle and............

you can see it if you squint real hard, works real good too!!!

Mine is a small round black ball. I have replaced it in the last year, however it is a perfect match with the original. Try your local MC Dealer.
