What does this model number represent in the way of an engine in a MC, please? I am wondering what make and HP.. I think this is a 351 engine.
The model #:PLP-PR-L1OPT.

Sporty, boat and year might mean more than that number if possible.

I hear ya' Leroy and not to be short about this response...
This is a drop-in from the crate. Year model of hull would not necessarily correlate for reference. It fits an early 80's model. :toast:

It's probably a Pleasurecraft 351 @ 240 HP.

Mfr number IDed the make (but I already knew that)
Serial number IDed the year.
Model number IDed the engine mfr, rotation direction of the engine, horsepower, and ignition type.
I found out all I needed to know with the appropiate numbers and two phone calls.
MC knew nothing... LOL
Done deal. Thanks for your interest Leroy!
Please close this thread as appropiate.

I'd like to identify the same information for my 84 S&S. You mentioned that you made two phone calls. Who did you call to gather your engine specifics?
