whats thes best way to flush out a transmition?

Drain (suck out), refill, run briefly, repeat 5x.

You can buy a fancy pump for this or get one @ home depot that hooks to your drill for a lower cost. Also buy some clear plastic hose/tubing to connect.

the cordless drill pump works pretty well, and they tend to last atleast several years, for the cost you come out ahead (assuming you already have a cordless drill, or power to your dock)

The capacity in the transmission isn't very high so I normally flush twice with 1 qt, and then refill completely, I just start the engine and put it in gear briefly, then neutral, then reverse.

You want it warm when you start sucking so take it for about a 10 minute cruise.
