All upholstrey pictures, just looking to see the original design of the upholstrey. I bought mine used and the upholstrey is not original. I would like to restore it to the original look. Any photos would help. Thanks

Here are some pics, there might have been some variations in interiors that year, my original had stupid buttons on the seats and motor cover that rusted underneath with time and popped off. I did away with them. This new upholstry is as close to the original in color that was available.. I do have a backseat but leave it out most of the time. Hope this helps...

That is funny, I have the exact same boat, same color. Thank you for the pictures. Did any of the S&S have the stars on the upholstrey in line like the engine cover? Your boat looks like it is in great shape. Did you have it repainted or is it all original paint and gelcoat? Thank again for the photo's.

In '85 it was considered a premium option (though, most opted for it), so it may have been the same in '78/'79.

I have never seen stars in a row on the engine cover, like I said earlier, mine had stupid buttons in a row on the middle of the cover that all popped off.

Thanks for the compliment on this boat, it was repainted, I worked dilligently on trying to restore original gel coat, just to far sun faded, so I painted it. The black metalflake stripe around the hull is original and looks like brand new....

My 78 did not have upholstery on the engine cover until I put it on there. I dont think that they started that until 79,

Go to "Manage Attachments" hit "browse" select your pic and "upload", they need to be resized to 640x480 size though. You interior and boat are very nice. Where did you get all the chrome pullys for the engine?

My boat might have been a special version when I bought it new, this is interesting a lot of the 79 owners here do not have a upholstered motor covers....

I have an 1983 with the stars down the center of the engine cover. Here is a pic. I know the years are quite different, but I think it was available then.

The engine cover on my 79 has the stars going down the center - no upholstery. The seats have the stamped patterns like the pics of yellow78mc's boat in this thread and I know that it is the original.

I'd post pics but my interior is all at an Amish shop in Ohio, I hear they do great work.

My engine cover wasnt covered when I bought the boat in 1999. But when I changed it to yellow in 2002 I covered the engine cover to make it more comfortable for people to sit on.

I have stars on my un-upholstered engine cover...I think upholstery would be nice for comfort and maybe some insulation, but I wouldn't know where to begin...:o

After I covered the engine cover I went back and painted the inside of the cover white with the yellow stripe and the stars.

If you click on showroom. Then go to 2006 events, and the pics are under east coast reunion. And you can see the engine cover.
