View Full Version : Transmission cooler hose leak?

I seem to have a leak in one of the transmission cooler hoses. I haven't found the leak yet, but there are always a few drops of fluid at the low part of the bend in the hoses near the cooler. Has anyone changed their hoses? Does the cooler need to be changed periodically?
Thanks in advance for the advice.
The cooler shouldn't need relacing unless it has been badly damaged. It does, however, need to be drained during winterization. You probably know this. A radiator shop can pressure test the cooler for you if you suspect that the leak is from there. They can also repair ir for you. If the leak is very slight and it turns out that the line is leaking, there sould be a shop near you that makes up hydraulic lines as specified.

I had a pressure fitting on one of my tranny hoses go last year. Tranny fluid everywhere... Dealer replaced it - not a big deal.
