I have no knowledge in either of these two candidates, but if you had to vote for either Barrack or Hillary who would it be?

Perhaps I'm being a bit of a conspiracy theorist, but does anybody else find it interesting that this is the first election where the two main runners are a Black man and a woman?

There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. I'm just thinking that "The Skulls" have decided it's time to make history, no matter what.

I agree with you 100%. I am not saying that I personaly would not vote for a woman or a black man but I dont think the country as a whole would vote them in.

I would not vote for Obama for the fact that I believe he is too young and too inexperienced in politics to run a country. I would not vote for Hillary just because I feel like she is a "snake in the grass".

I cannot see myself as a democrat because if I were a democrat, I'd be looking at these two top options and saying, "what the hell just happened?". I guess I'd be doing the same thing on my side if I didn't already know about mcain and I didn't already know he was going to pull some attention in a race like this.

First off, being a Californian has no bearing on this subject.

Second, I do not really give a crap about what woman or what black guy is running, until they are on the Republican ticket. When they show up there, that is when I will begin taking notice. Until then, I wish them the best.

I'm so glad the people on TMC and I are like minded. It seems I am surrounded by liberal thinkers who are just followers and don't even know politics. They just follow what sounds like it might be good for the country. I have a theory...democrats are generally the most gullible people (listen and believe to EVERYTHING they hear in the media) and republicans are the smarter ones who actually research their beliefs and have some basis for them. Unfortunately about half of the country is gullible and thinks that more government means a better life. I challenge them to look into Russian history for the past two hundred years and see how that worked out.

Being that I go to the university of IA and all the presidential hopefuls were campaigning iowa I had decent exposure to it.

Problem is I cannot rally behind one of the republican candidates yet none of them stand out. Fred Thompson could be interesting, but hasn't got much support. Huckabee I am unsure of, his health insurance plan seems to be bunk.

I cant believe people actually waste precious time out of their lives worrying about this political stuff. DO you honestly think that arguing, bickering, discussing, of political agendas and all the BS smoke blowing that goes along with it makes a difference in this world? your wasting your life away spending energy on this stuff. energy that could better be spent with your friends, family doing things you all enjoy.

My uncle is a perfect example of this. He worked hard all of his life. raised two great kids that are now married and have great familes. they love to include grandpa in their family activities and such. How does he spend his retirement? by watching political news shows, and political talk shows. ALL DAY. He is healthy. He used to love to go fishing, hunting, ride in the woods with a beer, visit freinds, go to the local pub for a beer or two. watch football with my family. lots of things. How does this heathly man of 67 spend his days? watching political news and political talk shows. he gets his blood pressure wound up and gets all ticked off every day. He sure knows how to live. He goes over to my parents hous ranting and raving about all this political stuff like a rabid junkyard dog. Nice. I watch my dad battle cancer every day. he CANT do the things he loves because he doesnt feel well enough to waterski, snow ski, so fishing, etc.. Heck, he would love to go out and shovel snow! yes he would. and he is, for the most part, bound to his recliner and just walking to the kitchen and bathroom because thats all he feels comfortable with. going to the basement is a major event for him. so I see this and wonder why people waste their precious lives worrying about this political stuff that they cannot change and have no effect on. makes me sad. wake up people. You cant change the world, and neither can ANY of these candidates. the machine is too big, things will never change. If you really believe these people can or will change our country for the better, step into my office, I got some ocean front property in Arizona that I really want to give you a heckuva deal on.

This is not a threadjack, read on,

Subject: Starting QB for the Packers

In a news conference Deanna Favre announced she will be
the starting QB for the Packers this coming Sunday. Deanna
asserts that
she is qualified to be starting QB because she has spent the
past 16
years married to Brett while he played QB for the Packers.
During this
period of time she became familiar with the definition of a
corner
blitz, and is now completely comfortable with other terminology
of the
Packers offense.

A survey of Packers fans shows that 50% of those polled
supported the move.

Does this sounds idiotic and unbelievable to you? Well,
Hillary Clinton makes the same claims as to why she is qualified
t o be
President and 50% of democrats polled agreed. She has never
run a
City, County, or State.

When told Hillary Clinton has experience because she has
8 years in the white house, Dick Morris stated "so has the
