The MasterCraft is tough enough to take the cold and do the job well. We're waiting for MasterCraft to come out with the ice breaker boat edition. X-ICE

We had to take a break every so often to scrape the ice build-up off the windshield. They should make windshield defrosters a standard feature for the X-ICE edition. :D

I'm glad you liked the pics. We did have a lot of fun yesterday, but I'm almost certain that we are done with the skiing and barefooting until end of Mach or early April. I'm thinking the fun will stop for a little while... but I never know for sure with the guys at my house. ;)

Pigeon Lake connects to Lake Michigan and is by a power plant, so it’s got open water in winter.

Here is a link to TV8's website (http://blogs.woodtv.com/?p=3035#comments)with a blog by meteorologist Bill Steffen regarding the ski outing.

So I posted this today and then I got a good laugh this evening. We were eating dinner and Scott called and wanted to make water ski plans for this weekend. We're supposed to have a warming trend this weekend... it might get up to 50 degrees.

Rick told him at some point we have to face the fact that it is winter. If you read between the lines, he's getting tired of winterizing the boat each time he takes it out.

Shortly after that call was over the dinner conversation moved to... what if we keep our eyes on the look out for open water so that every month this year we ski somewhere in Michigan. Who know where this is going to take us.

I just checked my email a little bit ago. The suggestions to go back out on the water are coming at me again. :eek3:

Bill Steffen, one of the meteorologists from WOODTV wrote, "Sue...early next week (Tues.) it'll climb into the 50s...they may want to go back on a second outing!"

Dang, it's supposed to be winter!

Sorry, no hot tub for Rob. He did get warm water dumped on his head when he got out. This is a picture from the Holland Michigan newspaper of his "shower." By the way, his shoes got soaked in the process and he had to borrow some shoes that were way to small for the trip home.

Rob is by far the best footer on our ski team.

Ice wasn't an issue. While the air temp was around 26 degrees, the water temp was well above freezing at about 40 degrees. There wasn't ice. Where I get more concerned and watch out a lot is when we pull footers down a river. Your chance of hitting some sticks or other wood items is much more of a possibility.

I miss the warm weather skiing a lot, but I don't have the mustard to do anything like that.

I used to go with a buddy of mine in southern WI as soon as the ice opened up next to shore. After a few passes the ice would start to break up and it was like footin in a mix drink:D . It never hurt our feet, but we stayed behind the boat.

My goof on his name, that ROB is one sick dude :D
Tell him if and when you you see'em again, I hope he didn't catch namonia.
And that, my offer still stands .... if he needs to thaw out in florida to give me a call.

Let him know we can go foot w/ KSO, if he wants.

Hey ATL, now you have me curious, do you really foot with Keith St. Onge?

You should come up to Michigan this summer and foot with us when your southern water gets those killer amoeba.
