Some people celebrate Christmas in July, but not us. We had July on Chistmas! :D The only difference is the water temp is a little colder... like about 35 degrees and the air temp was even colder.

I'll share some of the fun I had with my new Canon 40D  that I got from Rick today.

Here we are at the launch getting ready to go.

We're back home from a family party and I thought I would post a few more of the people on shore. Scott had a terrible time trying to get his skis on. They kept sliding away from him on the ice. By the way we parked in the launch because we figured nobody else would be there to use it today.

Rick's brother and his son had nearly and hour drive home. Getting dry clothes on for the ride home was a cold experience.

Well, I'm done with these pics. I think mcdoon took some pictures he was going to post. His will give a from the shore perspective.

I guess I don't have any more pictures to post for this year. However, we'll be out next week with our ski team for the annual team New Year's Day ski event. :)

Mag--You know, I definitely felt like a puss standing next to the guys that went! I thought I had berries getting out in 55 degree water in October. Ryan's thermometer showed the water a solid 34, which has to put the shrinkage factor at nearly 100% I'm thinking.

I think I remember mumbling something about doing it next year with them. It'll take that long to get my mental game together!

Here's a few pics from shore. Notice the white stuff that looks like it could be sand.

My mental game says, I'll never get in water that cold! Next year is more than I'll ever do.

Thanks for posting the pics. I'll save them with the ones we took.

That is awesome! It's been a few years since I've gone in the snow like that! It's just such an exhilirating feeling! Snow to the face does sting less than rain though! As far as the cold temps go, I've always considered it mind over matter. I have no mind, therefore it really doesn't matter! :uglyhamme

"No man, the boat's not damaged, it's the driver!"

DEDICATION! to a sport loved. Man! I thought we had it cold here in AZ when we need our dry or wetsuits to keep the chill off also no snow or ice involved. I'm sure the big balls it took to go out shrunk to the size of BB's along with everything else. Way to go Boyz!

There could have been film @ 11:00!

"MasterCraft Team Talk member Ski King was found approximately 3/4 miles inland, when his inflatable truck tire tube became brittle from the extreme cold and exploded upon hitting a chunk of ice during a Christmas Day watersports outing. He exclaimed with a sigh, as he flew out of sight, Merry Christmas to All and I'll be hurting tonight!":D

Man, he looks cold!

Did you not take any slalom pics, or did no one partake?

With water that cold your feet are going numb by the time the rope goes tight. No one wanted to try slalom skiing on frozen feet.

Ryan did run on a slalom ski for a little while until he stepped out to barefoot, but he was not doing anything more than a straight line behind the boat. (Bravery only goes so far!)

So Scott gave up on the jump skis? Looks like he is fiddling with them at the ramp but riding some combos behind the boat. Mike put them on the wrong feet?

I can't believe some of you are skiing w/o drysuits in that!

Mike just made those skis and he was trying them out for the first time. Mike is always making stuff. He's the inventor/hobbiest of the family. He owns a metal fabrication shop as his business, but he is always tinkering with making stuff (more than just metal). Some new things that he makes take a few tries before they are perfected, but most stuff is quite good when he's done with it.

Scott tried to use the skies but the bindings didn't fit his feet well and his feet were numb so he decided to stop messing with them and get going on something else.
