whoo hoo, I had a lady from the Country Club call me and she wants to display some of my pictures:D
She saw some of my 8" x 10" prints in my wife's office and flipped out.

I uploaded some to websites and was advised I could make 20" x 30" poster sized prints without distortion.

Now I gotta find someone that works with mats & frames:(

Great looking pics! I would check with your local photo shop and they probably could help you out. Else I would think that you could do it yourself to save a little $:)

Very good looking photos.

For that photo I would do a black or very dark blue or dark purple mat preferably with a black core

Brian.... making mats is VERY easy, if you are interested in doing them yourself. You can buy a beveled mat cutter at any art supplu warehouse as well as the mat material. I have done quite a few posters and pictures for substanially less than the local frame shop wanted.... Just an idea!

And just black. I like the purple the best. With this photo no matter the color mat you go with you have to do a black core. The white just doesn't work.

check with small local frame shops...a lot of them give artist discounts.

I do that and it saves me about $25 every time I frame one.

Who are you using to print? MPix continues to amaze me with their capability. I had a 5x7 that looked like crap to me, and the parent wanted a 16x24!!!!!! The small poster came out looking really really fantastic.

Metallic paper is fantastic, but it has it's limitations. Portraits have a funny and unnatural look. I print very little on the metallic, but now that I think about it, my photoshopped car photo would look great on metallic. Need to add that photo to my sig.
