'94 PS205 Rear Seat

I need some help. The rear seat on my 205 needs some repair. The wood strips are seriously rotted and I need to replace them. I have a couple questions:

- Do I treat the wood before I install or just install marine grade?
- What should I use to attach the strips to the seat with ... I am assuming some type of adhesive but what kind?

Anyone ever do this before to give me some advise?
