I love it when Clark goes sledding on that saucer thingy. I laugh every time.

I also crack up when the grandmother was asked to say a blessing at dinner and recites the Pledge of Allegiance.

Classic Cinema!!

For posting this timely and heartwarming thread dedicated to a cinematic masterpiece.

What about Julia Louis-Dreyfus as the uptight wife next door? Before she became "Elaine"....

When Clark goes to plug in the Christmas lights, we get another priceless TV moment.

Or when Cousin Eddy is standing in the street in his robe emptying the holding tank into the sewer and the neighbors come out. The goofy tune that plays in the background makes the scene....

(actually I saved this one on VHS tape, so I can dub it onto my PC and make my own clips now that I think about it!)

We watch that movie about 20 times each holiday season and laugh every time. My favorite 2 scenes are when Eddie empties the ___ in the storm sewer and the opening scene when they are going to get the tree. Classic movie!!!

favorite scene from christmas vacation is when eddie and clark are walking through the store before xmas and eddie keeps putting dogfood on the cart and clark puts some light bulbs down and then eddie adds more dog food to it. Same scene eddie has either a sock rolled up in his pants or he is well endowed. Friend showed me that once and I always laugh.

"You're going the wrong way" John Candy's reply "How does he know where we're going."

another is "You do more ball handling in an hour than Larry Bird does in a night"
