Shopping for X-mas, looking for the I-pod I-touch for my wife. Seems like everyone is selling them with no discount. Got any suggestions?

Apple does not allow their retailers to discount them. Order it from Apple and get it engraved...

Never met a rich person who gave up money without a fight. As the saying goes, I'd trade it all for a little more.

Sams Club discounts them sightly, maybe 20.00 or so.
Also some retalers have specials where they throw in a gift card. Target was doing that last week on Ipods.
If you buy at Target, open an account and you wll get 10% off, hen payoff account.

In the end you can save $60 and buy half a tank of gas for the X-Star.

Buy it online. If you choose the reseller correctly, you won't be charge sales tax and shipping will be free, and you can still get it engraved. Look at MacMall (not the most trustworthy of Apple resellers, but probably not bad if you don't have to depend on them following through with a rebate fulfillment). Theyr'e selling it for $379 with free shipping.

So I guess if I still owned my '94 prostar it would be okay to look for discounts on items?
I'm sure many people would look for a discount on electronic items besides myself, not based on what kind of boat they own!

Thanks for your suggestions bigmac and ski_king.

Go to the Apple Store and type refurbished in the search field.
They have some good deals over brand new ones.

They have a 80 Gig Classic Ipod for 219.00 normally 349.00 right now.

It's for the wife, she wants the I-touch. Has everything the I-phone has except for the phone feature. (she doesn't want to give-up her pink Razor)

They run around $300 for the one she wants. Looks like all the big box stores sell them for the same price.

Like Ski King mentioned above, you could get it from Amazon with free shipping and no tax. If you put it on an amazon card, you get $30 off. Probably not worth the trouble, but worth mentioning at least.

I can get discounts on them through our corporate discounts program.
