Very funny video, Jim. I like the Malibu one even better.
By now, I'd have thought somebody would've said something about Cobalt and the pickle fork. I'm not going to do that. But the reference to the pickle fork still makes me wonder though. Sure, MC has made the most of it in the Wakeboard boats and, as far as I know, did it first as it pertains to that segment of the boating industry (I don't think they ever claimed they invented the pickle fork design).
But check out, for example, this 79 Brendella.

Although I've heard it pronounced "tiger" for a year or so now, with my 2 years of high school French classes well behind me, I thought it was pronounced "tee-gay". With the accent l'egeu (sp?) and all. How about some input from our fiends north of the border?:D

All I have to say is they are built like a tank. If it could still float after being completely encased for a winter in ice then it gets my respect. Don't have link to thread but I am sure someone does. Someone forgot to take out there Tige for the winter and there are pics of people ice skating around it and it floated come spring.

It's pronounced Tie-guh
Probably not a good sign when inboard enthusiasts don't know how to say your company name.
At boat shows people will ask what's the difference between a MasterCraft and a TeeJay, or a Ty-j, or a Tie-j or a Tee-gay. However proper is TY-GUH.

The Tige dealership here in Calgary refuses to service our MasterCraft, I wonder if they are trying to keep their staff from learning what a real boat is?

Does Tige do their own engine marinization? Didn't see either of the usual suspects under the hood.

I have receive a boat(XSTAR 00) on a trailer from a customer last february. The boat was parked outside since august with no cover. Then it rained for a couples of months, then snow and cold weather of Montreal(remember the video January skiing...!!!)arrived and finally the owner brought the boat. Only problem is the drain plug was still on. The boat was full of water over the floor...Which was solid ice when it came inside the garage. Except the engine(without a doubt) that was cracked, the hull is not showing any marks of that torture. This is what I call a tank.
p.s.: you do are right with the french prononciation of TIGÉ !
pp.s.: That might be the picture your are looking for.

No that Tige spent all winter in the ice exactly as you see it. There are pics of people in the boat and pretending to snow ski/water ski behind it mid-winter. It spent the entire winter frozen in the ice similar to the other pic you just showed.

The racks still use bungee cords to hold the boards in... Unlike MC which has the clamping system, no bungees... No to mention swivel racks...ETC ETC
