Instead of reflecting our love for our country, we get photos of flag burning incidents at Abu Ghraib and people throwing snowballs at the presidential motorcades. Tragically, the lack of accentuating the positive in Iraq serves two purposes:

It is intended to undermine the world's perception of the United States thus minimizing consequent support, and it is intended to discourage American Citizens.

Harold, you are so right. When I turn on Cnn news all I see is violence and some more Bush Bashing. The media NEVER portrays the good that is actually happening over there. But I can't control the meida...but thanks for this thread!

Thats awesome Harold. Thanks for sharing.

To comment on the fact about the Iraqi Air Force. I was there when the first Iraqi AF squadron was formed. My crew and I personnaly installed the network infrastructure in the schoolhouse where we (USAF) trained the new Iraqi pilots. I got to spend some time with the new members of the IAF and get to know them. They are good people that are dedicated to making a better life for the Iraqi people. All of us that pray for the US troops over there should also include a prayer for the Iraqi military that are fighting and dying right beside the US.

Good for you Harold. All the naysayers can bite me. We are making progress.

Glad you posted that, Harold. CNN can't hide the truth forever when people like you are telling the other side of the story. Sure, there's nasty stuff still going on over there, but it's blown way out of proportion when that's all the major news outlets report. News people could never have been truly objective, but these days they seem to almost be proud of their biased reporting.

This is good knowlege and I really feel it is to bad we do not have more of an open dialog with a progressive country like Iran. They have major oil reserves and the procedes go for the good of the country with education and smart moves...

To bad the government as I know it is somewhat radical Islamic. The goverment hates the USA, I am not so sure the people do.

Thanks for sharing this, we are told only what CNN, the Clinton News Network, wants to tell the American people, this is an utter outrage and I am pissed in the short term.....;)
