Somebody else posted this earlier. That's a huge project, it sounds like the whole boat pretty much needs to be redone. Hopefully somebody will take it on, but it would have to be a labor of love, because I would bet by the time it was all said and done, you could have bought a much newer and nicer boat for less money. I never did understand the mentality of letting things go like that. I actually saw an old Ferrari for sale once that was in similar condition. Somebody just left it out to die.

Yes! Its just very dirty. It has not been washed in 6 years. That's an understatement!

If it was priced lower and closer I could probably talk a couple of club members in on a project...how's the trailer bearings and tires or need I ask?

I'll tell you what, if somebody on the board buys it, they can have my trailer that I'm replacing. If you have the time and room it could be restored, axle and bearings are great on it. I'm sure that it is better than what it'll come with. You just have to come to Melbourne on the day my new trailer comes to take it away. If interested, I'll let you know the day as soon as I know. I'm just giving the trailer to them to haul off for me.

My boat looked worse than that when I bought it. I have fixed two rust spots on the trailer. It was in better shape than the boat. That one looks good compared to what mine looked like the day I brought it home

that boat would need to be completely gutted. I can't even imagine the money pit that job would turn into.

Plus, it needs a new windshield.... You all know how much fun finding one of those is! It would have to be given to me.

I figure I will have about $2000-$2500 additional money into mine doing the following:

Upholstery
Carpet
Transmission
Gauges
Minor Gel coat work

I would be suprised if you could finish this one off for anything less than an additional $4500 + the boat purchase price.

Hey do you guy know a good source for decals.....I have a 88 prostar...place I bought the skins from was supposed to send the decals and he called and said they were out of stock...I'd like to do all of them....just did the drivers seat upholstry and and I surprised how easy it was!....course the back seat is the last thing Im doing...mag had some good carpet advice but any tips to shorten the learning curve would be helpful :toast:
