Well Since my football team is still in the running for state champs I thought I'd put this up here. So far the team is Undefeated! Lucky me get into every game for free because of marching band! Most of the victories have been blow outs like 48-0 or something along those measures...but not last night.

Parkland vs. Hazleton, 7:00pm, Parkland High School Stadium...

Well the game started off slow only 10-7 at half time. Then our quarterback took a nasty flip when he tried to run the ball. Something in his brain musta rattled cuz he threw 3-4 INTS in the second half. Needless to say The score is now 14-10 in favor of Hazleton. So were all down and like Oh this sucks. Well we come back and on a double reverse run it in for a touchdown!! So now 16-14 in favor of us with 2 mins left in the 4th quarter.

Forgot to say Hazleton has this awsome running back who in the game before ours had 380 yds! Well he was the go to guy as Hazleton brought it back down the field. Time is ticking away and they are on the 15 yd line on 4th down with 2.1 secs left. So they go for a field goal.

Ironic because thats how we lost last year.

So the snap....and we blocked it!!!!!!!!!!! I swear the entire "trojan pac" (student section) ran out onto the track and the whole football team started jumpin around...Best moment of my life!!!

So now we got I believe 2 more games until States!! Our last state championship was 2002 So we will see!!

Thats cool Lenny, Congrats to your school. My hometown HS football team lost in the second round of the playoffs. It is still considered a great accomplishment because we had an undefeated regular season and the first time ever making it to the playoffs.

Well this is bringing stuff back from the past but I thought an update would be cool.

Well Since Hazleton we knocked off George Washington 44-12. Then we knocked off this week 25 or 20th in the Country Ridley 35-21.

Next Game is At Hersey Park Stadium. Against 7th in the Country Pittsburg Central Catholic. ESPN said that Ridley was ranked 20th or 25th and they came back and tied it in the 3rd quarter 21-21. But then our offense started doing what it does best. We got 2 back to back touchdowns in the 4th quarter. One of the drives in the 4th was 9 plays for 99 1/2 yards.

Pretty freakin sweet. Can you say best week of school ever...Pep Rallys all week!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Way to go Lenny and play them on with the marching band!

My kids high school, Carmel High School won football state this year. Which was great to see.

The Last time Parkland won the state Championship Game was back in 2002 when we had Austin Scott. And if you watch Penn State Football you know who he is. This team isn't like that. There are so many good players this year its not a one man team.

Even If we don't win I think we will be getting a huge fire truck and police escort.

Alcoa and Maryville High schools won their 4th state championship in a row this weekend. Alcoa is 2a and Maryville is 4a. They are located in the next county north from the MC plant. The Maryville seniors have never lost a game in their 4 years at high school. The only games Alcoa have lost is to Maryville in non conference play. We take our football serious in TN.

Congrats Lenny!!

Are you ready to see A&M stomp Penn State in the Alamo Bowl??

This is great Lenny, let us know what happens!!!

Yea its gonna be a very difficult game. Apprently because we beat the 20th or 25th team we are now ranked in the nation. Pittsburg C.C. is now ranked 11th in the nation and 1st in the state.

I talked to one of my friends who is on the line for Parkland and he told me that our line is bigger then ours so basically if Our QB has an amazing game like hes been having (12-15 for 215yds against Ridley) then we should be ok.

Win or lose, its still really exciting...but hey winning would be nice!

12-14-2007, 04:29 PM
Well 1 day to go and game time moved up 2 hours due to the projected nor' easter dumping some white on us. Lets got PARKLAND!!!!!!!

12-14-2007, 05:58 PM
Good luck and have fun.

12-16-2007, 10:57 AM
Well, didn't turn out quite the way we wanted but hey it was still one helluva season! PCC-21 Parkland 0.

Yeah didnt quite seem like the trojans really wanted it...Defense and offense just seemed slow for some reason. But we'll be back next season!

Saw the highlights today, lookedloke a good game. 3 big plays for PCC made the difference.

The best game was the Class AA game Terrelle Pryor of Jeannette showed why he is the No. 1 college prospect in the country.

12-16-2007, 03:44 PM
yeah we pulled in and saw the scoreboard for the Jennette Vs. Dunmore game and its was 42 -7 at the start of the 4th. But yeah PCC is an amazing team! The west does produce some star players! I'm not gonna make excuses but I wish we woulda played 100% instead of 80% cuz it just didnt seem like it was the real Parkland I know.
