anywhere from 20 for first(warm up) Run to 22.0-22.6 for real riding
07 X-1
Two hard rear tanks (total 500) (hopefully a few fat sacs for christmas and 2-5 people depending on who is at the cabin or who comes up

With our X-1 I liked to ride a 23.3mph with 75' rope....
440's in the back about 60-70% full, centre KGB and one or two people in the bow.. or about 350-400lbs...

70 foot off, 24 miles an hour, no ballast on our Maristar. even without ballast we have decent wake, it's enough to play with at least

24 MPH!!! Seems fast. Fastest I've ever gone is 23.6 behind a 2006 X-star. That surprsingly didnt seem fast but then I went behind the X-1 at 23 and boy it seemed fast.

I like the speed, it gives me a better carve. IMHO, that last half MPH doesn't make a huge difference unless you're riding competition, and even then the comp riders can stomp em at any speed in wakeboarding range!

Not to bust anyone's b@lls, but you can kind of tell who the converted skiers are. 70' off? Hell most ropes are only 75-85' to start with. Are you riding at 5-10' from the tower?
I'm really just playing on a bored Friday. It made me laugh, so I thought I would respond.

'07 X-80, 22.5 MPH 75’ rope. No Ballast, but usually 7-12 people. I guess I’ll ask the dumb questions: Why are you shortening the rope for beginners? Everyone I ride with (including myself) is a relative beginner. Nothing better than decent wtw 180s with some flare. Maybe we should all be on a shorter rope.

04 X30 20-22 depending on the conditions. Finally figured out the wake is best over 20, that's where it stops washing out on the observers side.
Two ropes 65 & 70 again just to help find the sweet spot.
Stock ballast.
