we've heard rumors about Toyota coming out with a MasterCraft signatures series, like Harley Davidson has done...anything to back up these rumors???how nice would that be to have the same Vinyl on the seats and similar instrument dash layout!!!

ANYONE, ANYONE, BUEHLER?!?

That would make me go out and buy a toyota! An MC series would be sweet!

I'd think long and hard at buying a toyota if that was the case

Toyoto- I would only hope it would be the Mastercraft tools, tires, or seats and NOT the boat company. That would SUCK!! And would be a disgrace to the name MasterCraft. :twocents:

I have a Toyota series Mastercraft. My Tundra connected to my Maristar 200VRS, they go together well.

I also have a Ford series Mastercraft. My F250 connected to my Maristar 200VRS.

Both combos work great!

Agreed........................

Especially with the engines made by GM in the boat and the hard work MC, GM has put into the engine program with Indmar, that would be a slap in the face.

Now if it was a KIA tow vehicle,

You guys just posted some great points. It should be a real truck! Like a Chevy or something like that. Still the whole idea of this is pretty cool

I think it would be a bad business decision to produce a Mastercraft edition truck no matter what brand it is. Sure we all love our boats and the MC logo, but is there enough of us out there that would actually buy one of these trucks to make it profitable for a company to produce one?

I am a big Toyota truck fan - I've owned Tundra's and Tacoma's for a long time - would love to see it....but doubt it would ever happen.

I see a problem... Everyone knows what a Harley is, yet not everyone knows what a MasterCraft is......

It isn't clear what value that would add, almost any vehicle will upset a significant number of people. But if anyone could do it Mastercraft will do it.

Yeah thats a very good point. I told my dad about it at lunch and he said that he is doubtful that it would ever happen due to the rather small number of people who actually knows what MasterCraft stands for or does. I would love to see it happen because it would be a cool truck I imagine but the likelyhood of it actually happening is very slim as many of you have said.

I'd question if there would be enough marketshare for a MC truck to make it worthwhile for any of the manufacturers to do it. However, I'd buy a MC Tacoma in a heartbeat if it was available..........

I see a lot of people driving Harley Edition F-150's. Most of them don't know anything about Harley's, let alone own one. Would you want the same for Master Craft?

It's Marketing, getting the name out in front of peoples eyes, that all it is. Free advertizing, so to speak!
Compare the amount of time the boat is behind the tow vehicle vs when it's not and while your driving around for 150,000 miles without the boat hooked up, your advertizing for MasterCraft. We've been doing it for 18 years and didn't buy a "Special Edition" vehicle. When we are traveling in the van w/o the boat, people are always asking about MasterCraft Boats. Marketing, pure and simple!

Farmer Ted,
When you have time, try doing one with the colors and stripes like the boat, even with the turndown in the back. I've considered it, but just never done it! The top of the stripe would start at the top of the taillight and down the revel strip down the side to about 2" above the front side marker.

I would bet that rag is there to prevent the exhaust from leaving a black stain or dripping water on the floor:confused:

This???????

Your getting there, drop the red down to the top of the rear taillight and turn the red down about 1/4 way into the rear wheelwell a little more gently, w/o the white and black stripe, add a Tomato Red small 1/2" (actual on boat) stripe to the top of the red, a 1" Maroon stripe on the bottom with a 1/4" Tomato Red stripe next to it, like the pic below, and you've got it about nailed.

I am going to vote: Not everybody knows what a MasterCraft is. I agree that most people who have a Harley Edition F150 don't HAVE a Harley, but I think everyone of them knows and most people on the road know what they are.

For example, when my brother in law saw our boat for the first time he was curious, becasue he never heard Canadian Tire making a boat....(Our national hardware store's name brand of tools is Master craft. Low priced, well built tools with lifetime no receipt, change it right there warranty) Now that would be a good merger...?

Then he skied behind it and knows what one is now......

Right, it's a towel, and that pic was taken the morning of Jan, 21 last year when it was warming up for us to come to Charlotte to meet MYMC and ya'll about CSM and the exhaust condensation was dripping from the exhaust pipe on the floor.

Sorry I don't intend to blasphem this thread, but anyone remember this 'special edition'? I used to think they looked cool when I was a kid. BU- but ugly in my opinion now. Plus how dumb was it to choose a vehichle which in all likely hood couldndt pull the boat.

All I can say is that GM (in particular GM Powertrain-Vortec) would not be "pleased" with MC if they did a special edition Toyota. If MC did decide to proceed with the Toyota Special Edition then all I can say is that MC would probably have a "helluva" time getting engines to build new boats! IMHO I don't see it happening! Penske has a lot of loyalty to Detroit and probably would not support it. Just my 2 cents!

The Toyota dealer down the street has parked out front one of their trucks w/ a MC attached. They have done it a few times over the past years... I always wanted to low ball them on the boat to see what they say. ;)

That is a bold statement. Toyota cares about this county because thay have a lot of money in this county. USA is the one of the biggist car market in the world. I love this county and understand where you can feel that way but do understand that thay have 500.000 workers in this country and do help the econmy. As for the MasterCraft signature vehicle l don't see toyota doing that i could be wrong but do think so

I would be shocked if Toyota would do this. Something tells me their marketing dollars are better spent on sports with a much broader appeal. I could be wrong but it would be shocking.

Here in our county, with all the illegals, the Pinto, Chevette and Escort is King! They can afford to abandon them on the side of the highway and take off the stolen tags if they break down.

They heavily support Bass fishing accross the category. I've got to believe that's a better ROI with broader appeal than tying to one watersports brand alone.

Yeah, but how about that special edition Pinto. Late '70 to early '80 I think it was:

The Vespa edition.
