This bad boy was caught on Rainy lake!! This is the new record in Canada.
Check this thing out. The last picture is unbelievable! This guy, was fishing and caught a 36" Pike - as he was reeling it in, a 56" Pike tried to eat it! He brought them both in on the same net. Awesome catch on a river in Canada - 55 lbs. 56 inches.

Maristar -

Seen those pics a few times on the net, but they are real! Attached a pic of the pike I caught this past September way up in the Great White North. Mine was 43" 22lbs, fun to catch, but let her go! Afterall, the future of fishing is in our hands! :)

real records are weighed on certified scales and pictures are taken of them on the measuring tape... that's a monster by any means... but still.

I don't get what your saying. If I hold up a Blue Gill that is as long as my arm are you going to criticize it?

amazing that they got that into the boat with no hook in it. I am surprised that it didn't pull the smaller pike off the hook or spit it out. Pretty amazing!

Okay, someone is telling a fish story. Where was the fish really caught? Do we know if it was weighed on an official scale? Or measured?

The following page says the fish is not a Canadian or US record.

I don't know the authenticity of it related to Canada. I just know the picture was very impressive... I don't care where it was caught or if it was a record or not, just sayin ......

I'm hoping he let 'em both go ...
I'm a true believer in CATCH 'n RELEASE :D

Which after see'n that picture of the 2 fish, reminded me of a newspaper article I saw a few weeks ago in Bait 'n Tackle Shop about a Python and a Gator witten from Associated Press.

Snake Eats Alligator and Explodes...

AP / Everglades National Park
09/2005

Apparently a 13 foot python exploded when it tried to swallow a LIVE 6 foot alligator -- whole -- in the Florida Everglades.

The carcass of a six-foot American alligator is protruding from the mid-section of a 13-foot Burmese python Monday, Sept. 26, 2005 in Everglades National Park, Fla., after the snake apparently swallowed the alligator resulting in the deaths of both animals.

as far as I know the first pic is taken from Tobin lake,Near Nipawin, Saskatchwean,Canada. This lake has a river that flows into the lake, I have attached a link as i've fished there many times. Very good fishing but the wakeboarding is the crap$!

http://www.tobinlakeresort.com/pictures.htm

Hope this helps, i've saw that pic many times and many lakes claim it up here, my friend told me it was from Tobin but as you all know, fisherman lie!
