Hello guys, I've got a 2008 197 with the minitower on order and chose not to order the MC slalom racks. Does anyone have any recommendations on aftermarket slalom racks? Pics would be great.

Thanks.

Why not? Order the MC ones. They are the coolest you will find

I don't know that any aftermarket place even sells slalom ski extensions that fit the MC racks. If you have both sets of swivel board racks already on your order I would pony up the additional $250 per side and get the MC extensions. That way you are sure they fit and work properly.

Why did you choose not to take the MC racks? I think they're by far the best on the market and obviously the ones that will fit best on your tower.

The slalom rack for the pre-08 mini tower were over $1600. I guess they are different for the mini vs. the regular tower. Might be the reason he passed.

I'd go with the factory racks, though.

John,

There is a DIFFERNCE between board racks and board rack extentions
The Racks themseleves are one price. The EXTENTIONS are another.

The SKI/SLALOM Extenions are a option above the board racks. The Extentions bolt to the tower then the board racks bolt to them
AWESOME package

Spend the extra money and go with something that not only looks cool but works excellent too! Our X-1 came with the swivel board racks and normally the X-1 doesnt and I am so glad we got them. Not only for the swivel part but the clamp to hold your skis/boards or other toys works excellent!

I hate to say this, but in my opinion, I actually like the older style Mini tower because it looked different then the Zero Flex Flyer, but thats just my opinion.
