anyone know this boat??? You know what they say, if it's too good to be true.....

Wow, great deal if it's legit. One day auction for a mastercraft?? This seller never sold anything big before, like a boat or vehicle. Wish I lived in SC so I could check it out first.

H20skeefreek
10-27-2007, 10:06 AM
It ends in an hour. I may buy it. If it is not as listed ie: freshwater and turnkey, I don't have to take it....right?

Can they cancel the transaction when they realize that it's not listed in the correct catagory if the auction ends?

If it was closer I would be bidding on it for at least the trailer.

But, something dosn't smell right here.

cbryan70
10-27-2007, 10:15 AM
Im not sure about that, but if i lived around that area i would be all over that deal. I dunno if he jsut wants to dump it or what? anyone try to contact him?

Anyone use AIM? or AOL? See if he is signed online and try to message him. I would but im at work and that might be frowned upon? Anyone want a bayliner, lowe, alumacraft, Stratos, sea swirl, Maxum, Suncruiser pontoon, or a ranger?

H20skeefreek
10-27-2007, 10:18 AM
I'm 2 hours away. I'm going to bid on it, if I win and somethings screwy I shouldn't have to take it.

Wanna buy a fishing boat? :-)

cbryan70
10-27-2007, 10:21 AM
Man glad i threw this thing up. Just remember me when your enjoying your HOPFULLY good running mastercraft that you picked up for a 1/4th of the value

1boarder
10-27-2007, 10:22 AM
I don't know, but that is cheap.

NADA is 6800-7500.

cbryan70
10-27-2007, 10:22 AM
Cheap and mastercraft cant be used in the same sentence...its a "deal of a liftime" :-)

cbryan70
10-27-2007, 10:23 AM
The thing that is scary is this guy is a power seller. Its almost like it HAS to be a good to go deal. WHY CANT I LIVE DOWN SOUTH FOR THE DAY!

1boarder
10-27-2007, 10:28 AM
I only live 1 hour away and I sold my x1 last month. It is tempting, but I still am scared

H20skeefreek
10-27-2007, 10:29 AM
Good, stay scared, I'm gonna bid.

cbryan70
10-27-2007, 10:30 AM
When you bid just say you will pay after a test ride make sure the thing runs

H20skeefreek
10-27-2007, 10:33 AM
Oh, yeah. I sent him and email asking him to verify excellent running condition, freshwater only, no major defects. If I win I'll contact him telling him I'll pay after a test drive and inspection. That should give me plenty of "outs" but if I win it, it's worth it for parts.

'89 and '90 are the same hull, wake should be no different.
'91-'94 is the wake everyone raves about.

cbryan70
10-27-2007, 10:48 AM
Ohh yeah and im raving about the 89 and 90 wake as well. Never skied behind the 91-94 but i can only imagine if its better then the 89 and 90

Look at the engine picture. There is rust on hose clamps and exhaust header. There isn't much fresh water around Charleston and my bet is that it has seen salt water based on that picture

No worries, I wouldn't be able to take the time off to get it if I won, so I won't drive up the bid on you :D

cbryan70
10-27-2007, 10:57 AM
Ehhh i would have to disagree. My engine has rust on it as well and it has never seen saltwater. it will happen from being moist...remember this thing is 17 years old. Rust will happen

If you get it for $880, who cares if it's seen salt. I agree, a freshwater boat will get corrosion between the riser and manifold if the gaskets are neglected. For the price, I'd not worry about a test drive. As far as ebay and such, if you bid, they aren't obligated to give you a test drive. Good luck. I'm almost tempted to bid, too. But I won't. :)

Also the description says PCM engine, a 90 has a Indmar and that is what is sjhown. The seller is confused, but knows enough that PCM was used in earlier years.

east tx skier

Got up to 2,400+ quick. Wonder what the seller's shill ebay id is?

Kidding of course. No ebay seller whose boat was about to go for $880 would ever do such a thing.

Somebody just got a nice boat for $2,426.01. Bet the guy who bid $2,426.00 regrets not bidding another $.02. ;)

Yes it did. 24 hour auctions usually are. Safe to say I never envisioned hitching it to the truck.
