What would you think this boat is worth?

That is a Southwind 18. NADA puts Avg. retail right at what he is asking.

If the wood is good and the engine/drivetrain is in good repair, I would consider that a great boat for the price. At least for someone entering the sport.

ccfan has a price range that boats of whatever variety have reportedly sold for through their site. That price would put that year of Southwind toward the low end of the range. So like Denny said, if the wood's good and the engine runs, price is reasonable.

Its highly unlikely that a boat that age doesnt have some degree of rot going on. That being said, its still a decent price for a runner. The Southwind is not one of the more desireable classic CC's, though.

Gotta be the right person, personally i would not go for that style boat for that price.

Your probably right. Price sounded good and I was thinking of a boat I could leave on the water and not worry about. Guys sounds desperate, I think $1000 might buy it....

I bet if you had a $1000 cash in front of him he would go for it. Call him up and tell him you want to look at it!

I e-mailed him and said if the floor is solid I would offer him $1000 sight unseen.

No reply yet...

i think that is is easily worth a grand! as long as it runs!! u can ecpect some rotting in the floor. not as desireable as a classic MC but still alot of fun for the money. seeing as it is the grandaddy of the boats we pay too much money for now.
