2001 X-star needs all new skins.......

My friend is looking to buy this boat, but it needs all new skins. Any idea what it would cost if he does the job himself? Would he have to order 2003 skins, like maybe for an X-2 instead? Or should he just get the whole job done at an upholstery shop?

I had my old 2000 X-star totally re-skinned at a local upholstery shop for $2000. Looked perfect as he used the original skins as a pattern. If they go the route of a local shop, make sure to get plenty of references and/or photos of their previous jobs.
