My impeller needs to be replaced. I have the part but cannot get the old one out. Any tips on removing the old one?

Spray the housing, impeller, and impeller hub, pump shaft with WD40, then turn the engine over a few revolutions to loosen it all up and it should come out with somew needle nose pliers.

Ditto, but I just use dish soap or binding lube. Bumb the starter a few times and then pull with two paint can openers.

If you do a search there are lots of replies on how to get the impeller out. I use two small philips head screw drivers and get in between the vanes and slowly work it out. Take your time, you will get it out.

Two paint can openers work like a charm.

Pair of 420 Channel Locks in conjunction with a 24" Ridgid aluminum pipe wrench, oh and a little lube never hurts....

putting silicone grease not spray on the impeller shaft before putting the new on on will make it come off easier next time.
