I beleive it was the first boat to have a full swim platform in the back? I could be wrong but for some reasons this rings a bell. In your paper you can also talk about the differences between an outboard, a stern drive and a direct drive and the saftey that an inboard offers. This is only if you need to use more room. I did numerous speeches on boating in general.

i think the most interesting thing i saw at the plant was the fact that each boat is different in model, options, colors etc but all go down the assembly line together. you might see a prostar 197, then next an X2, then 214, etc. think about a typical automotive assembly line. one day, ford will run all escorts with 4-cylinder engines, automatic transmissions, basically bare bones options. the next day, they might have a production run of cars with V6 engines, special wheels, 5 speed transmission, premium stereo, etc. MC does exactly opposite of this. i'm sure most boat companies are doing things similar to what MC does but seeing all those options in a typical assembly line style of manufacturing is unbelieveable! i'd love to work there!

Never said it was an english project so obviously spelling and grammar doesnt matter at this point. Also we have already established that i suck at spelling and grammar a while ago newbie.

With all that aside any other cool facts and knowledge you guys have is greatly appreciated!

I would imagine that is a difficult topic to fill an entire paper. You're really going to be stretching it. Good Luck!

I did one in Math class a few years back, it was about putting survey results into different graphs/charts etc. All we did was take pictures of the #1 ski and wakeboard boats of each company (CorrectCraft Nautique, Malibu, MasterCraft) and ask people which boat they prefer based on styling, needless to say CC didn't get that many votes!

Anybody want to vote on how many posts you have to have before you can call someone a newbie?

I think I had as many posts as this guy deleted when the Hey Hoosier Bob, whatcha drinkin thread and swimsuit thread took their dirt naps.

there's VERY VERY few automotive manufacturers operating this way that are successful these days... or any manufacturer for that matter... flexibility is key to meeting customer demands and pretty much all manufacturing operations are moving toward a "lean"/"JIT" environment so that they are able to stay competitive and profitable... its not about making a good boat at the MasterCraft factory... sorry to inform you... it's about making money... a good boat is a product of their plan to make money... you can make just as much money off of a good boat as you can a POS
