Anyone have reliable information on the number of active MasterCraft owners there are nationwide?

Addtionally - how many frequent this site?

I have never seen sales numbers, but I guess that would be a decent indication of the nationwide number...

My dealer doesn't have an easy answer.

Sorry, over 3000/year for the last several years, per what has been posted on here before by someone in the know.
Roughly 16 a day X 4 days a week X 50 weeks (Closed 1 wk @ Xmas & 1 wk for model transition in July) = 3200 +-.

Not to be argumentative but I got that number from an MC press release when Penske bought the company.

MasterCraft, located in Vonore, TN, is the world’s second largest builder (about 2300 units in 2006) of water ski and wakeboard boats, after west coast builder Malibu (2900 units in ’06). The total US market for these specialized inboard-powered boats is about 10,000 annually, with the rest of the market made up primarily of Correct Craft (1600 units), Moomba (1260 units), Supra (644 units) and Tigé (850 units).

They also stated they want to ramp up to 5000 units in a few years.

Also found here at Wakeworld by percentage.

I belong to an antique tractor club, and the have a registry. You can simply put your name, or you can give details about what part of the world you live in - no details - what model and the serial number. You can even post a picture or a complete photo album of the restoration, if appropriate.

Could we do something like that here?

a couple of buddies where on the water on the weekend...had a couple drinks and was close to shore, while driving the Bu and hit the MC that was parked on the lift. It hit the MC on the corner of the platform and split the side of the BU like a can opener. with no damage to the platform or the bracket on the MC. The kicker was looking at the hull of the Bu, there seemed to be no insillation/padding in the boat either. The Bu he was driving was their wakesetter, so it wasn't a ski boat running into a ski boat. Even just tapping the side of both boats you can tell a construction difference.

Early this year I asked how many boats were produced and how many dealers there are. Over 3000 boats was the answer I got then.

I'd like to know - year by year - how many of each model was produced. Simply out of curiosity, nothing more. Not sure how readily available that info is.

Great info. Thanks guys. I was just curious as to what kind of market MC owners were. Being a pilot - I know that there are about 600,000 active pilots (stats from several sources including public info from the FAA). 400,000 are members of AOPA (the leading pilot's organization/club).

Just curious how specific MC owners stack up to rec boat owners total.

I think the original question was, how many OWNERS , not annual production.
