I would go with a New Dimensions: http://www.newdimensiontowers.com/galleries/mastercraft/images/1996-1998_Prostar_205.jpg

They are having a 15% off end of season sale also!

I put a New Dimension Tower on my boat last year and it is GREAT! I know there are some other good ones out there, but I prefered the lines of the New Dimension Tower in addition to its high quality.

I agree with the answers received above. I have a 209 with a new dimension tower that was added after the intial purchase of the boat. I had the dealer install it and it has been a very good investment. There have been numerous pictures posted on the site over the years and I don't think there is a better looking tower in the market for a MC!

You have to decide how much you want to put into a tower. I didn't want to spend $3K on a tower for a '97. My Monster Tower has been quite servicable and I think it actually looks better in person than it does in pictures. I put this tower up and down every trip to the river.

Brazos, how do you like your Polk MOMOs? That's what I'm going with unless I get a bunch of people that don't like the way they sound.
Sorry for the threadjack. I have a Big Air tower on my 205. It works great, and is very solid. If I had to put one on again, I would, but really like the looks of the ND towers.

New Dimension, no question. Added one to my boat, same model as yours. It's design is OEM for MC, and is rock solid.

ND tower will add value to your boat, several of the others will not and in some cases actually decrease the value.

I installed a ND 2 years ago and it's been great, no issues.

I have not been thrilled with the Momos. Not bad, but I would buy Wet Sounds today.

thanks for all your help!!!! I think I am sold on the ND tower. This will be my family boat for a LONG time to come so I figure why not go with the best!! I am trying to decide if the 250 install fee is worth it!! i am about 150 miles from the factory and they have a place that installs them!!!

Now i just have to decide on silver or black!

Silver IMO. The colored ones look ok on some boats, but I think yours looks better with a bright polished tower.
I installed myself, and it's pretty straight forward, you'll need an extra set of hands from time to time. All together, took me about 4 hrs.
The only snag I ran into, was relocating the tube that routes the control cables. For my boat, this was mounted driver side, right in the way of the required tower backing plates.
You can have a quick look at yours to see if it'll be an issue. Not a big deal, but does take some time.
Remember, measure twice, drill once.

I agree with Sodar 100%. It looks like the stock MC tower really looks good on any boat.
