went to the boat show last night. nothing exciting. i was hoping to see more slalom boats but hardly anyone took one out. actually no one did . the closest was the mc x-7. one cool thing i did see was a mirror with a lcd monitor embedded in it. pretty cool it was transparent so you could still see the skier as well as what was playing.

Pretty cool! Did they have a DVD playing or was it a video camera feed? One of the video systems that tracks the skier and fed to some sort of video monitor would be nice to have.

I was thinking on going this weekend, but sounds like it wasn't worth the price of admission.

The show in Pleasanton in Jan was apparently where all the Ski boats were, I think there was pretty much one of each model for all of the major producers there.

The Pleasanton show Rocks. The have ton's and ton's and ton's of stuff. It is also kinda cool because all the local shops share merchandise, so there is only one set of items that you get to look at instead of having the same stuff per dealer. They petty much have every kind of boat possible. It is the biggest of the shows in nor cal. If you have the chance make the drive you will be impressed. I ended up getting a carbon fiber handle and shoe string wake board rope for a hundred dollars. Most of the time you can work deals with them.

Agree completely. My kids spent about 20 minutes talking with Shawn Murray and got his autograph. He was a good guy to talk to. He was in the Hyperlite booth when we were there.
