Homecoming float! So I got to to pull the boat in the homecoming parade. Our float is pretty basic, mastercraft, a truck, people in the boat, and a couple of people "skiing" on rollerblades. Its amazing how much of a hit our homecoming float is, even though it is so basic. The little kids LOVE the boat and get all excited as we drove past.:D Then after the parade I went and to the boat back and found a random sink hole next to lake:rolleyes: . And yes it was a sink hole, there was no bottom to that thing. So I spent the next 6 hours getting my truck out of the hole. Anyway turned out to be a good day and here are the pics. (for once the boat and the truck are clean...well they started out clean)

DRIVING in the HOMECOMING PARADE

A UA waterskier was out driving his truck with some friends after towing a boat in the Homecoming Parade. As they were cruising along, they came to an intersection. The stoplight was red, but they just went on through. The another student in the passenger seat thought to hisself 'I must be losing it. I could have sworn we just went through a red light.' After a few more minutes, they came to another intersection and the light was red again. Again, they went right through. The other students in the passenger seat was almost sure that the light had been red but was really concerned that they was losing it, but they were just laughing out of their minds. They were getting nervous, but so what, they had the munchies too! At the next intersection, sure enough, the light was red and they went on through. So, they turned to the driver and said, 'UA, did you know that we just ran through three red lights in a row? You could have killed us all and tore up the boat!'
Next thing you know they have run off into the lake, thinking it was a sinkhole.

UA turned to his passangers and said, 'Oh, crap, am I driving ?'

I was working the game this weekend as a photographer and took a picture of the Ski Team. My son and his best friend always love the boat and they plan on riding on it in about 10 years.

I thought I saw you guys out on Lake Tuscaloosa the other evening. Where do you normally ski? We have a place out at Yellow Creek. It's about a 45 minute drive but it is the best skiing around. Hardly any boats and the water is like glass 90% of the time.

We ski at Lake Harris and that is it. Our coach has a house on lake tuscaloosa and every now and then one or two of us will ski with him at his place. And a very few of our members ski at Lymanland. The only way into Lake Harris is Lake Harris road which is about ~4miles long and its all dirt. It keeps other boat traffic to about zero:D
