View Full Version : Bimini Question 95 Prostar 190

I did some searching and am perhaps more confused now than before. Basically what I want is a bimini that ideally I can mount to the windshield frame for the main bars and also the front straps possibly mounted off the windshield frame and then the back straps on the grab rails (least holes and none into the fiberglass). Also I plan to get a fly high pole next year so I need one that has a zipper or hole to accept the pole and be low enough that the cables running forward from the pole are not interfered with. Finally it would be nice if it could also fold forward and lay in front of the windshield when down. Can I get all that in one package for a decent price and where? Anyone have a similar setup and care to share measurements and possibly pictures?

I think this is something that would work out for you

Can't see that holding up too well in the wind? Also I was hoping to spend WAY less than $600 on one.
I had said a hole or zipper for the pole, or of course if it ended in time to not need it.

I am sure Brian will be along shortly to show his bimini set up on his '97, but here is a pic of my bimini on my '96...... It pretty much met all the criterias you asked for!
Here is one with the bimini and extended pylon.

Yes actually I had PM'ed Brian about his already. :)
Yours definitely meets the criteria. Do you possibily have any specifics on where from and dimensions?

Just sent you back a PM. Honestly I like Sodars better than mine mostly because it has more coverage but the matching stripes are cool too.. Here is a pic for you.
Specs are as follows:
Height 24" (10" above windshield)
There are two stainless pieces of hardware just in front of the windshield on the deck for the front straps. The back straps have a piece of webbing with two D rings that wrap around the grab rail

Just go to your local canvas shop and have one made. Mine is made by http://www.adleecoversboats.com/ <-- They make all the bimini's for my local dealer... they should have the measurements and pattern.
