Quiznos or Subway?

funny poll. Whenever I go out for fast food (usually road trips) I only get either subway or quiznos. No McD's or other.

I like them both but you can't beat the toasted peppercorn prime rib at quiznos.

You need a none of the above option. Support your local poboy, hoggie, grinder, submarine, cheesesteak etc shop. Friends don't let friends eat at chains!!!

They are both good and I eat at both often. Almost never any other fast food.

Subway if I have to! The only time we went to Quizno's, I had to give them the deed to the house to pay for the meal!

Best Deli we've ever found, just like downtown NYC and Long Island, http://www.jasonsdeli.com/

IF I had to choose, it would be Quiznos.

I prefer Quiznos, but Subway has a nicer looking anniversary edition.

Subway's "3 footlongs for $11.99" is a huge selling point.

My girlfriend and I normally ride bikes over to Subway, order 3-foot subs and then ride down to the marina and eat. Then, I already have a left-over sandwich for lunch the next day... it is a win-win!!

3 sandwiches at Quiznos is about $30.... FOR SANDWICHES!! That place is ridiculous..

I thought cam's story was going to be that he gave the third sandwich to the homeless or something

If Quiznos wasn't so good I would not eat there. Luckily the closest one is about 70 miles away. Subway is terrible IMHO.

Cousins Subs or Erbert and Gerberts are good as well:D

Subway makes me want to puke. So, by default, Quiznos.

Agree with BrianM. Good local deli is the way to go. Or, at the least, a local chain, i.e. Thundercloud.

I always go for the local "mom & pop" type sub shops. much better quality of food, and very often better prices.

Subway is garbage food. period. Processed chain garbage food. Oh yea, its healthy, right........NOT!!! "Eat Fresh" my arse! Only one step ahead of BK or McD's. and that aint sayin much.

Quiznos. Decent food, but WAY overpriced. NO ***** way a sub is worth $11, NO WAY! The Prime rib subs are awesome, but not at that price. must be a reason they are the fastest growing food granchise in the US, but at those prices, I cant see it.

We got a new Quiznos across the street from work. I'm eating a Baja Chicken sandwich right now. And they heated up my chocolate chip cookie for me. I'd change my vote if I could. This **** is good!

Just thought I'd share...

Our nearest Quiznos was an hour away and they just went out of business. The prime rib sub with their 5 pepper sauce was epic! Damn the bad luck:rolleyes:

Ok, I'll weigh in. Since we have got a Quiznos, I will not eat at Subway. I don't care which sandwich were talking about from the Q... I'll eat it with a smile. I'll have to request next time to have my cookie warmed up, that's a nice touch. :D

grilling up some venison backstraps at my house tonite

Pulled a couple of straps out of the freezer over the weekend. DAMN i love that stuff!!

The deals at sub (any $5 foot ((unless cheesesteak or something else..)) and 3 for 12) are hard to beat. So, thats where I go if i'm hungry and in a rush. Q: will break your *** for lunch. (If I'm paying a ten-spot, I might as well go have a steak) And when the "prime rib" gets dipped in water, huge turnoff. What the point of that anyway??

I defintely prefer a local sub shop. Next time I get a BOG (Babe Oliva Grinder) I'll post a pic. :D Here in MA, D'Angelo's kicks arse and is a chain. The only time I hit a Quizno's was in Charlotte at CSM1. Broke the bank, the subs were just OK, and it cost me some valuable water time. Dayum, how can it take so long to make a few subs???

We've got a great Sub place just two blocks from the house. New York Subs. They've been there for years! Unfortunately, a developer has bought the property in that area for a big housing development, so the owners are retiring. Only about 6 more months of good subs...:(

Jasons where I was from was fast food and pricey. I like the buy local from the earlier post. We try to buy local when we can like the farmers market that opened back up a few weeks ago with the best lettuce and early season stuff.

Just doing our part to be green.

Gotta watch that girlish figure, eh TX? :D

I'm just saying, that baja chicken sammy I had today with the warm choc chip cookie was GOOD. Normally, I go down to the beach or waterfront place (only 2-3 miles away) for a fresh grouper sandwich, fried oysters, or shrimp po'boy. But when I'm in a hurry, the Quizno's across the street definitely satisfies.

Of the larger companies, I'd rather have Penn Station Subs. My first choice would be Geno's in Philly.
